COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Since March 2020, we have learned a great deal about how COVID is transmitted, and I have been constantly striving to make sure that my safety protocols are reflecting the current scientific research.  I have also been very pleased to see how many of my clients are now fully vaccinated and boosted (and in many cases, multiple boosted), which is also reflected in high vaccination rate across the town of Brookline.  However, as the recent past has shown us repeatedly, I think it is important to remain vigilant.

I am fully vaccinated and boosted.

For all clients (both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated), please continue to take your temperature before leaving home to ensure that you do not have a fever (100.4 degrees or higher).  Appointments will be rescheduled for anyone who is symptomatic or who feels like they have been exposed to anyone with confirmed illness.  There will be no cancellation charge for any appointments that are rescheduled due to illness.

While I no longer require fully vaccinated clients to wear a face mask during their massage, it is still required for any unvaccinated clients (except for individuals unable to wear face coverings due to a medical condition or disability).  If you do not have a mask, I have disposable surgical masks available.

I will still be seeing clients by appointment only, with no walk-ins allowed.  Masks are still required in the shared spaces of the office, including the Waiting Room and Bathroom, for both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated clients.  Please try not to arrive more than ten minutes before the start of your session.  When you arrive, please call or text me, and I will come out to bring you in to my office.

There is still hand sanitizer available to use before and after your session.  I am keeping my schedule the same, with extra time built in to properly disinfect my office between clients, as well as frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high touch public items.  I will also continue to constantly run an Air Purifier with HEPA filter in my office, and will leave a window open for increased air circulation whenever possible.  I will continue to accept cash or checks as a form of payment. I suggest writing out checks ahead of time, although I have a sterilized pen available as well.

I will also continue to ask the following screening questions of all clients:

  1. Have you or anyone in your household had any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours: sore throat, cough, chills, body aches for unknown reasons, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, or fever?

  2. In the past 5 days, have you been in close proximity to any individual who tested positive for COVID-19?
